I. Who we are
A. Our website address https://ibecome.eu has been registered in EURid, which has been certified for the ISO27001 security standard since 2013, applies industry standard security protocols, and works closely with law enforcement authorities.

B. IBECOME EDUCATION AND TALENT LTD is a UK registered company (12474385)

C. This domain is legally owned and used in accordance to Article 4 (2) (b) of Regulation (EC) No 733/2002, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2019/517 and therefore will continue operating after the transition period following departure of the UK from the EU.

II. What personal data we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it
A. Personal identification information through our Registration Form and our contact / more information forms. This is necessary in order to 1) be able to contact you in case we have an offer for you or answer to your enquiry and to 2) ensure that all registrations and contacts are genuine and well-intentioned. We care about the quality of character of our users.

This data is not shared with anyone at all. Our Data Protection Officer has been instructed to protect this information with the highest rigour. Maintaining the trust of our Registered Users and Clients is paramount to ibecome. When a suitable job, career or study offer becomes available for one of our Registered Users, ibecome will always contact the Registered User to ask their explicit permission to share any information with one of our trusted partners.

B. Career and study personal information and preferences through our Registration Form and through our and Professional Development Interests Forms for ibecome Registered Users. This is necessary in order to 1) be able to match your profile with job, career or study opportunities and to 2) be able to produce resources and services adapted to the needs and expectations of our users.

This data is not shared with anyone at all. Our Data Protection Officer has been instructed to protect this information with the highest rigour. Maintaining the trust of our Registered Users and Clients is paramount to ibecome. When a suitable job, career or study offer becomes available for one of our Registered Users, ibecome will always contact the Registered User to ask their explicit permission to share any information with one of our trusted partners. However will be able to communicate general summaries about the type of interests, preferences and backgrounds of their Registered Users without revealing any information that could link the summary to specific individuals. For example: “30% of ibecome Registered Users are students of Engineering from Spain” or “20% of ibecome users want to find a job within the next year”.

C. All users can see and update (and are encouraged to do so regularly) their career and study personal information and preferences.

D. In order to ensure compliance with GDPR we do not store IPs with form submissions.

E. ibecome does not receive other data about you from any direct or indirect sources.

F. ibecome offers free registration and services to students and graduates, but it also offers paid-for services to a variety of customers. In the case of Premium or any other paid-for services, we reserve the right to share the data resulting from a transaction with legitimate credit reference agencies and law-enforcement authorities for the purpose of combating fraudulent purchases. We are committed to making internet a safe place for all.

III. How do we store and protect your data:
A. Our hosting service is based in the UK, but we have access to another hosting service in the EU where we can migrate all our data if necessary in a matter of hours.

B. Our hosting provides us with enhanced protection, including amongst others high quality malware scan, detection, and removal, malware prevention with web application firewall, brute force prevention, injection prevention and cross-site scripting prevention.

C. We keep your personal data from a period of 10 years after registration, unless you request for it to be deleted before the 10-year period.

D. The deletion of your data will involve the purging of all caches and any backups of our data base older than one month.

IV. Cookies Policy
A. Cookies are text files placed on your device to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information.

B. When you visit our website, we may collect information from you through cookies or similar technology.

V. Marketing
A. ibecome will not contact you about services or products that are not related to your career or studies.

B. We will not sell your data for marketing purposes, or any other purpose, to anybody.

C. ibecome needs funding to survive. Therefore we may introduce external quality advertising in our website that you are free to ignore.

VI. External content from other websites or users:
A. We do not accept posts from users, comments in our posts nor images.

B. Articles and pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from other reliable and reputable websites such as YouTube.

C. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. If you are not familiar with the external website, we recommend that you read their privacy policy.

ibecome keeps its Privacy Policy under regular review and places any updates in this page. This privacy policy was last updated on 31st August 2020.

VIII. Your Data Protection Rights
A. The Right to Access: You have permanent and free-of-charge access to your personal career and professional development preferences through ibecome “Becomers Area”. However, you also have the right to formally request ibecome for copies of all your personal data (Subject Access request). In this case, we may charge a small fee for this additional service.

B. The Right to Rectification: You have the right to edit and update any information you believe is not accurate, up-to-date or complete (and we would like to encourage you to review the information you give us regularly). You can also request that ibecome carries out any corrections if the information concerned is not accessible to you for self-editing through our website.

C. The Right to Erasure: You have the right to request that ibecome erase all your personal data.

D. The Right to Object to Processing: You have the right to request that ibecome restricts the processing of your personal data (for instance, by incorporating it to a spreadsheet for internal use).

E. The right to data portability: You have the right to request that ibecome transfer the data we have collected from you to another organisation, providing that this other organisation is a reputable entity operating under Data Protection / Privacy Policies comparable to those of ibecome. You can also request this transfer to be made to yourself.

X. Complaints and Appropriate Authority
A. Should you wish to report a complaint about our Data Protection policy or practice, please ensure that you inform ibecome before hand via the address specified in Chapter IX above, and allow for 15 days for the complaint to be resolved.

B. If you feel that ibecome has not addressed your concern in a satisfactory manner, you may contact the UK information Commissioner’s Office or the appropriate authority in your country of residence, whether it is in the EU, or not.
